2014+ C7 Stingray/Grandsport
The following packages are a basic road map to follow for proven gains that you can enjoy for years to come. If you are wanting a specific setup that differs from these feel free to email us for a specialized quote. Joe@cordesperformanceracing.com
Note on 2014 only C7’s we highly recommend replacing the OEM yellow valve springs, we have personally seen local cars have them break and drop a valve. If you do not plan on going past bolt on’s we swap them out to the blue 2015+ springs
The packages build upon one another, so stage 2 will include everything in 1 as well, and so forth.
Naturally aspirated
Stage 1: Typical gains 15 rwhp over stock
- AFE cold air intake- If tuning we will do our 4.5” Cold air intake
- Mighty mouse mild catch can
Stage 2: Typical gains 55-60 rwhp over stock on 91
- Kooks 1 7/8 longtube headers with high flow catted x pipe (ceramic coating available)
- CPR 4.5” Cold air intake
- MSD intake manifold (optional ported 95 mm or 103 mm throttle body available)
- NGK spark plugs
- If Z51 car will receive oil change using Amsoil signature series oil and wix filter
- Dyno tune with baseline pulls done before work begins
- Optional Flex fuel kit – Allows you to run 91 or up to E85 and tune will auto adjust (usually worth 25 rwhp over 91)
Stage 3: Typical gains 120 rwhp over stock on 91 – Overall gains depend on auto or manual, if auto if keeping oem torque converter this will limit cam size to maintain drivability
- LTX cam kit, includes cam of choice based on goal, .660 spring kit w/ ti retainers, 3/8 .080 wall chromoly pushrods, amp full vvt lockout or limiter depending on cam
- DOD delete kit- Using CBI dod plugs, Johnson 2110R lifters, new OEM gm lifter trays
- ARP head bolts or head studs depending on setup
- GM gaskets, new cam bolt, crank bolt
- BTR trunion upgrade
- LME billet chain guide
- C5R timing chain
- Driven fluids & GM coolant w/ distilled water and amsoil coolant booster
- TCM unlock if 17+ Auto
- Dyno tune
- Optional items: LME CNC Ported Cylinder heads, Circle D torque converter upgrade, Flex fuel kit upgrade
Stage 4: Typical gains 220 rwhp over stock on ethanol- This package has many avenues it can go. Please contact us to discuss your goals so we can properly spec this package out.
- LME based 416 cu or sleeved 427 cu engine
- LME CNC Ported cylinder heads
- Circle D converter upgrade if auto car
- Flex fuel kit (can be omited)
Forced induction
Stage 1: Typical gains 110 rwhp over stock on 91 octane
- Magnuson 2650 or Procharger kit
- Mighty mouse catch can
- LS9 map sensor
- NGK 6510 spark plugs
- TCM unlock if 17+
- Dyno tune with baseline pulls before work begins
Stage 2: Typical gains 140-150 rwhp over stock
- ARH longtube headers with high flow catted connection pipe (optional high temp ceramic coating available)
Stage 3: Typical gains 220-230 rwhp over stock
- Alky control meth kit or LT4 high side w/ CPR aux fuel system to run ethanol based fuel and tune auto adjust
Stage 4: Typical gains 270 rwhp over stock on 91 Overall gains depend on auto or manual, if auto if keeping oem torque converter this will limit cam size to maintain drivability
